Laura Mackness

Today at Edge and Barrett has all been about the super cool design talent that is Laura Mackness. We have created a brand, and built a website for Laura to support her amazingly fresh ideas. Laura has been the one to watch since she graduated from Central St Martins last year, Dazed, Vogue and Grazia are all in love with her slick designs, and she seems to have totally predicted the colour palette of 2010, so well done Laura. Hello to one and all on what is supposedly the most depressing day of the year...we're self medicating at Edge and Barrett with a cold beer, but also hyper that the worst day (which has weirdly been quite good) is nearly over, and it can only get better from here on in, good reason to celebrate and have a laugh. If you are blue, and need to feel better join us at Fail, after all Edge, you've got to giggle....

Art Licks

Yes it does. The latest edition to the Edge and Barrett bookmark list is Art Licks, a new site dedicated to new exhibitions, collectives and events in the art world. The smart site also includes a 'zine of the month' section (always good to check out the competition) and an opportunities board, which is a must for any creative wanting to get involved and branch out. Bobby Long

Today Edge and Barrett had the pleasure of catching up with singer/songwriter and general cutie Bobby Long. Bobby is in the UK recording before heading back out on an international tour, and is part of a wave of young Brit creative talents taking the world by storm. The Americans have labelled 'em 'The Brit Pack' - and trust us when we say 2010 is going to be a great year for these boys.
